Maybe Deshaun Watson will now stop the arrogant...

Nov 15, 2014, 1:30 PM

Superman poses a la Cam Newton. A guy who is injured as often as Watson should learn humility. Let's hope he gets stronger both physically and psychologically. We sure do need him on the field.

By the way, it is odd that Lou Holtz finally said something that makes sense. A D-1 program cannot be as embarrassingly thin as Clemson is at the quarterback position. It is entirely unacceptable and falls completely on the shoulders of Dabo Swinney.

jumping touchdown against NC State (which seems like ages ago). Plus, I sit a few rows behind the team during football games at Death Valley. At the start of the Louisville game, before walking onto the field, he gave the Superman pose on the sidelines. Of course, a few minutes later, he suffered an injury to his finger.

celebrates. If he clapped his hands or just pointed up to the heavens would you then be ok? Or does he literally have to be the man of steel to that celebration?

at least be strong enough to stay on the field for a complete quarter. No? Can't you see the glaring irony in this situation? It's not as if he is tough as nails like Tim Tebow was at Florida.

What argument? I see no intelligent points on your part.
Do I think dw should do the superman pose? No.
But I'm not going to tear a guy down after he gets injured putting his body on the line for our team. Also I fail to see how that plays any role in the score of this game or our record this season.

Nov 15, 2014, 2:44 PM

Superman poses when he is extremely injury-prone. That's my argument. You fail to prove that my points (his lack of humility and the irony of the whole situation) are wrong.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: I am focusing on his humility and the irony of his making...

Nov 15, 2014, 2:51 PM

Haha. Ok. So I agreed he shouldn't do the superman pose.
Also I have not seen him do that since he was injured. Apparently he should've known he would be injured.

He was playing very well at that time and unless you know him personally I don't think you should question his humility. But hey that's just me. I appreciate your self righteous opinion.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I disagree with your point that I cannot know his humility.

Nov 15, 2014, 3:17 PM

Attention-seeking Superman poses are not indicative of humility. No?

Also, you said, "Also I have not seen him do that since he was injured."

Which injury are you referring to? If it is the Louisville injury, I then must agree with you. However, he hasn't been on the field longer than an eye's blink since that injury, so one can argue that he hasn't had the chance.

Maybe you will stop the ignorant posts onTNEt. Not holding my breath. Dabo runs a clean program. Lou Holtz knows nothing about integrity. We have two four star qbs coming next year. If chad Kelly weren't a selfish idiot we would be fine right now.

Keep on tearing down our injured qb who celebrated after a td. Also he's a kid.

Oh good post though. Very classy
