I disagree- caucasian tribalism is fine IMHO if..

We have become and grown into an enclave and distinct culture born out of the crucible of racism and inequities. And many of us like having our own thing and being around our own tribe. As a pastor of an intercultural and multiethnic church—- when white people hang out in groups together- no one says anything- but when blacks hang out together I hear more… why are they doing that? Why are they hanging out together? What’s wrong? Why can’t they mix in? It keeps happening even after explaining and discussing the dynamics within and between the groups. We don’t go to games at ClemsoN and say… hey- I wonder why those white folks are all doing something together? So even without a “black” alumni sign gathering is still questioned.

No…..I’m not confused between being American and being white

Folks during immigration were trying to come to America and the immigration laws at points didn’t want Southern Europeans coming into the states. There was even racism against Irish, Italians, Spanish, and Eastern Europeans because they were not “white.” We are all Americans but historically simply being American was not enough to get the benefits of being a “white” American. A black person is just as American as anyone else cause we were born here and help build and contribute to our country and pay taxes… etc. but it does not mean that that excludes (see history) from segregation and unequal rights. Why couldn’t black folks who had fought and served in wars( like my Grandaddy) move into the same neighborhood and get the same loan and post service money as white GI’s? Was the white GI more American than my Grandaddy? No. So being American will not give you equal rights or voice.
