When Dabo was interim coach and Dabo was considered not a substantial hire according to an article on Tigernet October 29, 2008.

We sure dodged a bullet by not getting “Muschump “

I was a student then. The names floating around were Muschamp and Leach. A lot of talk of big names but the rumor was we didn't have the facilities at the time and wouldn't pony up the cash to hire one. I vividly remember an interview of Terry Don that said we would top out our salary that was competitive to the top 4-5 of the ACC.

Muschamp was a top notch DC &
many wanted him as HC. Thank goodness for TDP insight into Dabo’s abilities

I don't know if Clemson considered him a top target, but a lot of T-Net did, myself Included. I'm glad things worked out the way they did.
