GITT lawn bros and tell me if I'm making a mistake

I bought 200lbs of 32-0-0 fertilizer.
I have beautiful centipede grass (where it grows)
But it's not running.
My hope is throwing a bunch of nitrogen to it this weekend when it's suppose to rain (if not I'll be using the sprinkler), I can get that centipede to run to the bare areas.
Will that work on a lot that .75 acres?

Depending on the soil...might help to aerate that area?

then fertilize? Make sure it gets plenty of water and no weeds, should spread. But it's a slow process, took us years at our old house. In hindsight just putting out a quick few evenly spaced rolls of sod would have sped up the process greatly.
