But what the heck was Maffah doing?
Just cover the ball and go down.

Poor execution os the result of poor coaching, and we have had horrible execution the past two years.

I thought it was a fun play but of course folks are gonna hee and haw because of the momentum shift.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Clemson isn't going to lose a game on one play in the 2nd quarter.

Not to say momentum shifts can sway a game but we have plenty of time to right the ship.

Yeah when you players literally just throw the ball to the other team for no apparent reason you are probably going to lose.

The continued inability to sustain drives putting the defense immediately back on the field will do more to cost us the game than that play call.

Trick plays are for teams that think they need them for an edge. We don't need and edge, we just need to play sound football. IMHO

They are also for the players to have fun. Remember this is a game and supposed to be fun, and Dabo is famous for doing plays for that very reason. It is for recruiting and player excitement.
