I'll skip the first part of the story, but suffice it to say that I left a wad of baby batter in the toilet bowl in the hall bath last night. The why and how doesn't matter... just assume the worst and move along.
Around midnight, our boy-dog, Scout, was scratching at our door to be let out. Wifeof got up and let him go outside to pee. When she let him back in, he ran into the bathroom and sloppily slurped up the entire toilet bowl full of water... yep the same water that held my tadpoles.
Here is a picture of a dog that looks identical to mine. You can imagine how wet his face was when he ran back into our bedroom. I don't think I can ever look at him the same again.

On the way home, wife called me... she got a $7/hr raise at work. She offered to buy dinner. We ate dinner, then she took daughter shopping. I went fishing. Came home around dark, put the new belts on my lawn mower and cleaned up. Wife layed down with the daughter to watch Austin Powers. The dog was aggravating me, so I went into the living room and watched the Sopranos. Yadda Yadda Yadda, my dog was an unwilling participant in a Boo-cocky type event and I slept like a baby.

I always put seat and lid down - so she gets to raise the lid and I get to raise the lid and the seat. Soft close of course on all toilets.

so far is if I'm at some poor's house and take a ####. Then when I go to casually flip the seat/lid down and it slams because no soft close. It's disturbingly loud.
