I could be wrong but I think JL biggest problem is

his personality . I think the team takes on his uptight persona and they have a hard time producing in tight games. He always seems to over react to close calls. He also shows very little confidence in his hitters, always bunting with runners on base and giving up an out even in the early innings. I could be also wrong that he lost the support of most of the fan base. I don’t know if he can fix it because he doesn’t seem to care about the fan base.

gorilla ball went away with the bats and Jack cannot coach fundamentals . It has shown every time the ##### beat our ### . Cant bunt , cant run the bases , and always make a crucial error in the field . How many can we leave on base? How many runners can we get on third at the same time? How many fielders can cover third at the same time? Its gotten progressively worse with the new bats so fundamentals and poor management of the game have become the hallmarks of the baseball team.

What do you know about his personality?...

Have you ever met him? Have you ever seen him interact with his players outside of a game? The players love him, that's why so many, even South Carolinians, come to play for him. I guess you didn't see the players in the dugout with their sunglasses on upside down today. If you don't understand the strategy behind bunting runners over, even in the early innings, then I'm not going to try and explain it to you. It is a very sound strategy, one you see implemented frequently in college and professional baseball. Here's an example of NOT bunting runners over. Liberty had runners at first and second and nobody out. The TV guy commented that Toman would probably have his guy swing away instead of bunting the runners over. He struck out and the next batter hit into a double play. If the first guy had sacrificed the runners over, then a run would have scored on the groundout and there'd be a runner at third with two outs.

Seriously?

The guy you have chosen to compare just whipped him twice with less budget, facilities and less talent. How about the steal leggett called when all in the house new it and Slaton is thrown out by ten feet. How about the double steal in the seventh that Toman called that did not even draw a throw. Knowing when to steal is just as important, but Jack steals all the time in predictable fashion.

Yes, Toman won two, but that does not negate BaseballFan's point.

Players can like their coach but that does not mean the coach needs to get the boot. I know the whole team loves dabo but another loss to USC this year and he might be seeking employment as a recruiting coordinator elsewhere.

should never bunt your cleanup hitter with no outs in the first inning. People like you are exactly what's wrong right now..

I would hope your cleanup doesn't know how to bunt. ITs like having barry bonds lay down a bunt with a runner on first lol

His biggest problem is bad luck, meaning he had to coach against Tanner/USC at their best. Legget is a good coach, but I do agree that he has a problem getting/keeping his guys loose. Who out there has a better resume than Legget that is looking for a job?
