young man admit that he was lazy when it came to the school side of things, and that that, as much as anything, was keeping him off the field. He could have taken the more common route, and grumped about Dabo playing favorites, or something like that. But, he owned his failures about schoolwork, and maturity, and it sounds like he is on track now.

This is just another example of how Dabo runs his program. He ain't playing when he says YOU won't be playing if you don't keep up the schoolwork side. As these kids mature, they will realize that Dabo has given them a huge jump on the working world with a bona fide Clemson degree. Because the simple, unvarnished truth is, most of them do NOT have a future in professional football. The numbers don't lie.

Me too. Thanks for posting. He could easily have transferred to uga, unc, miami, lsu, Oklahoma etcetera, and taken the easier road.

Gives a better understanding perhaps why we may supposedly "miss" on recruits or don't offer certain recruits. Thanks again.
