What I got from the Repubs was Trump is god and they have no platform, but he is all knowing and has it under control. "In Trump We Trust" Don't vote Dem or there will be rioting in the streets and Armageddon. (Ironically the rioting is happening now under Trump). Also, that the Dems want to radically and fundamentally change America to a country you won't recognize. America as you know it will be dead if Biden wins.
Dems convention was basically all about Trump being the antichrist and an awful human being who is bad for the soul of the nation etc etc. Also, that he is lying con man only thinking about himself. That was pretty much the message. They didn't talk much about their vision.
Both conventions are about fear.

that the RNC convention was about Trump's accomplishment and the continuation of the same while the only one in the DNC who addressed policy was Bernie pushing socialism proving that the DNC and Biden are in his pocket.

Interesting. It's almost as if you didn't watch the RNC at all....
- I watched Hershel Walker talk about his 37 year friendship with Donald Trump. (my favorite of the night)
- I watched a man that fled from Cuba give a moving speech on the dangers of socialism and communism
- I watched Nikki Haley give a speech about how Donald Trump is tough on foreign adversaries and he is brokering peace deals instead of sending pallets of cash and strengthening terrorists
- I watched Tim Scott's speech that was incredibly empowering and showed that America is great and we can make it even greater. He also spoke about his trials and tribulations as a black man in SC
In summation, the overall message that I got was that America is the greatest country in the world and there is still a ton of room for improvement.
The DNC was Orange Man Bad.

not sure how any of you could sit and watch the conventions all the way through. I mean i had it playing in them other room and was reading the the responses in here for kicks, but seriously, you all have time to sit through 2+ hours of that garbage?

Even when it's raining and I won't raise the hood or open the door on my project car, even when it's too dark, I'm too tire, it's too cold or too hot I don't sit through anything but commercials during Clemson football games.
Everything else gets recorded and I have this magic button on this new invention I learned about called 'fast forward.'
I watched the convention around 7am this morning and it took about 45 minutes.

Dems: America is an evil, racist country at it's core. The deck is stacked against you from the start unless you are a white Christian male, and you need us to step in and correct these fundamental flaws with America.
Pubs: America is not perfect, but our founding principles are. It's still the greatest country on earth, the land of freedom and opportunity. There are those who are actively working to strip you of these freedoms, and you need us to protect you from that.
