Although not over, this was huge and just dealt a blow to the accusers case. I may be wrong but if you have any evidence at all, I wouldn't think it would be hard to get an indictment. Since they didn't, I believe it just got harder to convince even a civil jury.

That’s my thought process. If they can’t convict me then I’m not sure why I would be interested in a settlement. This legal crap is over my head I’m not the dumbest SOB out there but laws and lawsuits seem hard to follow for me.

And he should reject every one them. The burden of proof is with the party(s) accusing him of any sexual misconduct. After all it is their word versus his word. The women have to prove he did what they claimed he did. Of course he could pay up in order to keep this from dragging on.
A suggestion,( and I am in no way saying this is what will happen) he could agree to one lump sum divided equally between the 9 ,or 22 civil suits he is facing .Of course all the women have to be in 100% agreement .
Look ,I am in no way condoning what DW4 did ,or didn't do. I am not his judge jury or executioner.
Just saying the women have to prove what he did, and like you say with no evidence it will be hard to convince a civil jury.

Society needs to learn that this behavior is just as toxic as what he was criminally accused of and wasn’t indicted for.

The Civil and Criminal Cases are Totally Separate

but the threat of criminal proceedings was being used as leverage by the civil plaintiffs. Now that card is completely off the table.

The result? Dollar amounts will plummet, maybe to the point where DW4 will agree to confidential settlements instead of insisting the numbers be made public.

Then again, he could choose not to pay one single dime and dare Buzbee to take it to trial.
