I am calling it right now

Riley will be here for one year, and then bolt like he always does. Jeff Scott will then be announced as the new OC for the 2024 season. Mark it down and come back to give me a thumbs up when it happens, or a thumbs down if it doesn't.

Too obvious to me that Scott wanted to take "a year off from coaching", and so Dabo hires a guy that only stays at one place for a year, but he also locks up Scott by putting him on staff as analyst.

You might be right, but I'm thinking he may stay

at least as long as Cade is here, depending upon this year's results.

You could be right.

Just ,common sense would be ,Riley could have stayed where he was at if he thought he'd be a HC next year. Just an opinion,Riley is here 2-4 years.

Yeah, I'm thinking 2-3 myself.

That makes sense to me based on his resume.

Im thinking he will stay 2 to 3 years. It is a great opportunity to see what he can do with better quality players. If he gets a NC while at Clemson it will definitely improve his resume.

I will go ahead and give you thumbs down now and then regardless of the outcome

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You can't give a thumbs down because you're poor and don't

1: Dabo did not take Riley in place of Scott. You make it out Like Dabo would have hired Scott first but since he wanted a year off he went with Riley. Come on Man.

2. I predict we get Riley for at least two seasons. Kyle Richardson is still on staff as TE coach and will probably work under Riley as assistant. I think that Richardson is next in line to get his shot once Riley leaves. He seems extremely bright and will learn a lot from the concepts Riley brings.

Please no more of this crap. If Riley is only here briefly, you make another home run hire. Not a #### TE coach. Haven’t you seen hiring from within a staff that frankly is not good, has now been proven to be not the thing to do?

as I recall this same argument was made about Brett Venerables

Regardless, we’re much better off now than we were; with Riley and Scott and the realization that the “promote from within” was a failed process. Things are looking great - never question a welcomed blessing.

It also all well depends on how Happy Momma is

Jan 13, 2023, 9:39 AM

at Clemson. Happy wife is a happy life. She may not want to move and he may not want to be a HC. 2 million a year without the headache isn’t a bad living.

Does RIley have kids and is he a strong christian?.....

Jan 13, 2023, 9:58 AM

if so , he will be here as long as he doesnt get a HC job offer and as long as he is highest paid. We have proven that we will pay our assistants more if necessary and not be outdone.

I believe he has two kids.***

So we're worried about him leaving before he even starts?***

Riley stayed at Kansas for 3 seasons of all places! He was Coach Dykes OC/QB coach for 3 years. Now he will get the bigger contract at age 33. Wife and kids will love the Upstate. Working for Dabo will be something he will appreciate and I’ll be surprised if he bolts before the 3rd year.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Isnt that what happened to the coots DC last year?***

He is 31. He worked with Coach Dykes 3 years. The other movement? In his 20’s with better opportunities. Don’t sell Clemson short. He is coming to Clemson bearing gifts, but he is also coming to see a different way to build and sustain a championship program. Other than Coach Saban, no one has done what Dabo is doing at Clemson. He saw first hand Lincoln difficulties at OU. I think he gets more than he gives.

Unsure Scott can hold Riley's jock strap when it comes to

X's & O's. Hopefully, Riley stays 2-3 years.
