before calling in the notes owed by softball, lacrosse, gymnastics, Bradball and any other sport suckling from football's teet?
The $16mil alone in prefab softball owes the Golden Goose would go a long way to bridge any current & short-term disparities, while keeping the interlopers at bay until the Big12 comes calling... again.
Even before the VID, CFB attendance was in decline. Taking 500-600 premium spaces from Jervey Meadows made no sense at the time, even less now. Is softball covering the opportunity cost in that decision?
Neff showed the layups can be made, when Monte was shown the door. If the money maker is to avoid being left behind, the more difficult discussions can no longer be tabled and instead had in earnest.

It would be SO bad, we might only have "made" (play-in games are not IN the Dance) the show TWICE in 13 years instead of the 3 it sits at now.

Building one couldn't be any more of a boondoggle than the prettified Tiger Walk Project. That is one instance where Clemson just played follow the leader behind what several SEC schools were already doing, and now are spending millions to beautify a plagiarization.
