I am really kind of surprised at OU

Dec 11, 2015, 4:42 PM

I have not seen them play since the last time we played them, so I went to look at their schedule to see what game I should watch on YouTube. They have not played anyone with a pulse on defense. They got beat by Texas and needed 2OT against Tennessee.

I am trying to look at anyone on their schedule that compares to us, but there is not. They have not played a team that has the offense or defense that we have. We are going to easily be the best on both sides of the ball that they have seen.

That is not true with us vs them. They certainly do not have the athletes FSU has, and we have faced several defenses better than theirs. They are one of the top offenses we have played, but not head and shoulders above UNC or ND.

Look at that D of OU. Not sure if Gallman will be able to survive facing this stout ### defense.

Exactly...throw in that their final "big" 3 games were against 2 second string QBs and one 3rd string. I get it that they're playing well and won in convincing fashion down the stretch, but let's be honest about their competition.

That said, like any other big game against a team with top 10 talent, we can't make stupid mistakes and/or turn the ball over and expect to win. I hope the time off does our boys well and we're able to put together 4 quarters, cause if we do, we win handily.

Side note, and I know many are saying we got screwed getting OU in the first round...that MSU/Bama game is going to be a tough physical game, whoever wins that game is going to come out beat up and having to play a week later. I think playing OU first is to our benefit if we can win.

Baylor made a lot of stupid penalties and turned the ball over. If they did not do that, I think they beat OU even without Boykin.

It is interesting to see just how fast Mayfield brings the ball down. If his first read is covered, he is taking off.

Boykin is on TCU, and he too was out when they played and - barely - lost to OU (pass knocked down in EZ to have won game for TCU). Baylor was without their starter, playing Stidham (think that's his name), their 2nd string QB making his second start (first was previous week against K-State I believe).

And Mason Rudolph was injured in the first quarter in their game against OkSt

Well unc didn't look all that great either losing to scar and almost losing to vt and gt.

Although we dominated the championship it was still close. My point is that you never know. Oklahoma is better than unc

I don't know that Oklahoma is that much better than they were last season , but they have a more active , better passing QB this go around.

Clemson by 10.

Listening to espn is what makes people worry

Heck watching this game as Mayfield was running his mouth as an instigator, Kirk took up for him saying that he just was letting them know he is not going to take anything. Well, they were not doing anything to him, the kid is just a hot head. On a 3rd and long for Baylor, the pocket collapses and the Striker guy, who was blocked but the QB ran where he was getting blocked to and he made the play, they tackle him after a 2 yard gain and they talk about the awesome sac by Striker. Hmm sacked for a 2 yard gain.

Mayfield has happy feet, stays on WR's, pulls it down and runs quick. He is slippery, but he will get his *** busted against our defense.

Seth Russel is who I was thinking about, and you are right, the true freshman Stidham played that game, and he dropped dimes like this on them. Think about what Watson will do if you give him 2 steps.

It should start at 37m and 28 sec., but if it does not, check out the throw on 3rd and Austin.

Kinda like ND, backup QB, 4 turnovers.

Baylor is the closest facsimile of us they have played this season and our defense is way better.

Kind of what I thought. I promise, if anyone watches this game they had vs Baylor, they will feel much better about our game against them. They (baylor) was open all game deep, but the true freshman QB could not make the throw.

Not sure what you are watching, their Blitnokoff winner was 3 for 51 yds in that game. Baylor was about 200 yds off their season average. I will take that performance every day.

Are you aware they played their last three games against...

Dec 11, 2015, 5:23 PM

the top Big 12 teams which didn't have their starting QBs? I think Baylor had a third string guy.

I am very aware of that, it is kind of my point.

It's not fair to judge OU based on the Baylor performance.
