season without being able to have Oklahoma drills, only 2 crimmages, limited full contact minutes, etc.

Hopefully, there was enough embarrassment from last year to provide all the incentive this Tiger team needed to achieve greatness on their own. I guess we find out on Saturday night. Here's to hoping we made big strides.

Didn't we just lose one game?

We lost two. Physically whipped both times.

This is the far and away the biggest concern facing this team right now. We must be more physical and physically capable against physical teams.

We're going to be tested from play 1 Saturday. Make no mistake, UGA has been holding a physical preseason with the intent to punch us in the face.

Like Spud alluded to, a couple scrimmages and no "Oklahoma drills" makes you wonder where we've upped our physical game.

Players know and have mentioned last year, and surely the coaches did.

Attitude and health. If the players spent every waking moment plotting revenge like OSU did last year, then they’ll come out like madmen and take the game.

We’re also coming into this one pretty much full go and fresh. Both losses last year we were running on fumes and the roster was depleted.

Nope.***

If we haven’t I am predicting a blow out. Like Georgia 35-10. And no I am not a coot or dog fan. Just calling it like I see and feel.

Maybe they joined the intramural rugby league or played lots of dodgeball.

and I'm not trying to be a homer or a skeptic - homer status is assumed - I have to say I have no idea what kind of team we had last year. We can talk about apparent lack of focus, and we can talk about whether the last game was only that or something that seemed ready to happen all year, but really, the players themselves talk about it, and the need to be 'tougher', so I'll accept their word for it. They say something has to be fundamentally different in some areas this year.

Is it? It's probably something a team decides before January, and there is only one way to find out if that happened. If one wants to get wonky about it, David Hood himself said that as much praise as we heard about the defense this summer, we didn't hear a lot about the offense. That is true, but I don't know what that means. We'll see.

Regardless of what happens, Clemson is in a great place, in every way. At worst this is just something that happens, cycles even great programs have to go through. At best, we're playing for all the marbles again. Either way or something in between, we all know Dabo Swinney is the best thing that could happen to any culture and organization. The staff and players are top drawer, whatever happens.

It's just football, and Dabo brings a lot more than just that. And you can't say that about many programs.

I’m curious why it became an issue in the first place after seemingly being resolved early in the Swinney era after it being such a problem during Bowden.
