I think we could all agree on this one.
Also, we need an NCAA that once again has the power and guts to investigate and actually punish members who violate member established and passed membership agreement rules. Kick schools out who refuse to abide. This would fix NIL abuses and the transfer portal free agency/tampering nonsense that it has turned into. I think we could all agree on this one too.
The only potential fly in the ointment is the SEC commissioner. I get the impression he likes where things are headed. ?

BUT, but, but. Are you thinking of an AD like Ole Swoffee.
Ole Swoffee fought hard for UNCheat, to keep them from getting the Sudden Death penalty. And I think he was instrumental in (paying) getting the former Duke basketball player to insist that UNCheat had done NOTHING WRONG! (While UNCheat had spent 20 years doing the most-aggregious cheating EVER in the NCAA ranks.)
And Ole Swoffee got them off with no penalty ! And that was total Bxxx Shyatt.
What a piece of garbage Swoffee was. Including for his TV contract and all of the Acc basketball TV money he kicked to his brother-in-law. Scum.

Dabo has done pretty well with no experience other than wide receiver position coach. Take yourself back to all the panic that change produced. Not defending Grisham, just saying experience isn’t always the main qualifier.

On the most basic level, he had never been a defensive coordinator, and certainly not at the power 5 level.
I don’t see anything in his background to suggest that he had the qualifications to be a defensive coordinator, especially not at a program like ours with multiple future NFL players on it including some elite talent.
Why do you think he was qualified to be our DC? “Dabo likes him” isn’t a valid reason.

...and I mean SPECIFICALLY. Dont say "we lost to usuck", thats not showing what he didnt do right.
We got burned on some deep balls, but thats player execution and personnel playing the wrong position due to injury.
The WF mesh messed us up, but BV couldnt stop a shovel pass against Pitt that year.
The one game I cant figure out is how ND smashed the ball down our throats. I think the D gave up because the O was soooo bad.
Other than those issues, I think Wes was solid.

Here are some key stats for this past season:
23rd in scoring defense
28th in total defense
33rd in defensive TDs
40th in 3rd down conversion percentage defense
46th in team passing efficiency defense
56th in red zone defense
66th in first downs defense
76th in passing yards allowed
Our talent level on defense is easily top 10, if not top 5. Do you think these numbers are reasonable based on our talent level? Because I don’t.
I don’t claim to know the specific coverages he should’ve been in for a given opponent, or the adjustment he should have made in a certain situation. That’s his job. All I know is that our defense underachieved significantly.
Remember, we played in the weakest power 5 conference. We did not play a tough schedule at all. And even if we had, shouldn’t we still expect to have a top defense? Before the season, some here predicted that we would have the best defense in the country. That sure didn’t happen, did it?

All those stats are indicative of the defense being on the field too much. Why was that? Because dabo was married to a QB1 who couldnt get 1st downs. Defense on the field = bad defensive stats.
Secondly, we were not the worst P5 conference. We played teams when they were at full strength. Those same teams later tanked due to injuries which made them look worse as the end of the season.
Wes made adjustments. WF game Wiggins got beat a bunch of times, by the end of the season he was close to being shut down. He moved trotter and dude became a beast.
I’m not on team Wes, but I don’t agree that he’s unqualified.
