QB run game is essential to what we do

I know the risks with getting DJ hurt, but the offense is the offense. Thanks to UGA, teams are playing cover 2 and daring us to run. We must establish the QB run to get those safeties in the box. Then we can take our shots downfield.

the threat of QB run. Even if it isn't super productive, the threat needs to be there.

I also think running gets DJ into the game. He ran the ball frequently against ND last year.

I agree. DJ gained confidence and ran with a purpose for the first time tonight. Just gotta hang onto that rock.

It just opens up so much more of our offense when the defense has to account for a 250lb running QB

Or maybe adapt to the talent and skills that you have on the team. Coach V does it every year, need to do the same on offense.
