Let's say the Tigers get beat in the first round of the NIT. Then PJ Hall tranfers. And another guy or 2 we are counting on for next year transfer. Each of these things are possible although I understand all of it happening is improbable.

Neff still sticking by "C"BB? Or can he change his mind? Or fuggit, who cares?

mentality. Even if you aren't going to fire the guy, you can't justify it that way.

This whole fiasco has made me realize that I wasn't as numb to Clemson basketball as I thought I was.

Generally, votes of confidence are given prior to firing.

Of course, in Brownell's case, I think he has had about 7 votes of confidences over his 13 or 14 seasons. He's the obvious outlier.

Can’t blame him for sticking with CBB if this year was the only data point.

Unfortunately there are 13 years of data that indicate a change should be in order. Your scenarios just add to the data for a new coach. Neff ignored the historical perspective and focused on selective data. So my guess is we get CBB V14 regardless of NIT performance or player departures.
