I was a freshman his senior year ...

... I remember being at Fike one afternoon playing in some pickup games and noticed that he was passing the time waiting on the next game by standing flat footed under one of the goals on the sides of the courts and two hand dunking.

Ridiculously athletic guy for his size.

Would love to see the replay where he picked up a blocker and blocked a punt with him. William was truly one of a kind.

I was at that game, I believe it was Wake Forest. It happened so fast that you had to rerun it back in your mind to comprehend what had just happened.

I was at Clemson 1983-1987 and lived at Fike. After the season, most of the football players would come down and play. The OL were big, mostly decent at Basketball and could cover him, but I will never forget how well he moved. When he would go up for a rebound, his arms and shoulders would clear out everyone. He could dunk, it was not a flying pretty dunk, but it was powerful. No one - OL, DL, or stupid student dared stepped in front of him.

he would open those double doors

Should have seen him in High School....HS, college, NFL...

He was the MOST DOMINANT of his time... period. Anybody that says different either wasn't there or doesn't have a clue. I was there.
