Huegel /what we've heard

Yes, I've heard he was injured at practice yesterday when another played fell on his leg. However, I was told that he walked off the field and at first glance it didn't appear to be too serious (from an observer). But today it seems like maybe it's more serious than first thought and could be season-ending. Going to work to confirm...
I talked to Tim Bourret (the football SID) and he will speak with Dabo at 3 today to do the injury report, so we won't hear anything (I don't think) before then. Will keep you updated

I'm more concerned about kickoffs than FGs.

Don't get me wrong, Huegel made some clutch FGs, but he wasn't automatic. Kickoffs have been much improved though. Field position is just so critical.

darn consistent on FG's. i'd say he makes 85% of his kicks. We won't be getting that with a backup i'll promise you that.

Lakip was enjoying the nose candy too much. Who's to say a backup can't come in and perform well this time around?

Spiers was a backup to Teasdall his freshman year and has been leaps and bounds better thus far, so you are correct. You never know until you see the next guy up, I guess.
