Several years ago, awash in the glow of baseball NC and 5 streak, the coots opened a retail store in Charleston which they touted as proof that they had surpassed Clemson as the premier brand for athletics in the state. It was going to revolutionize their brand and marketability while Clemson's was "cycling down". Haven't heard anything lately. Is it Bust or Boom (no pun intended)?

I’m sure that branch is making record profits just like the other ones across the nation.

The coot version would go like this - “the World ran out of money so we decided to close”.

So are you saying that the coots refused to tell the truth. The truth that Clemson forced them to shut down, the same way we shut down everything they try to do in baseball, basketball and Football??? They are cowards of the truth!!!

The usc foray into The Holy City was typical

of their "all show - No Substance" show of FLASH with no BOOM behind it.
Clemson and Charleston have had a long term synergism of beneficial programs.

Add to that they place it downtown Charleston in King Street, most likely the highest rent district in town. Very expensive location for a t/shirt shop. As expected it didn’t last long which is typical of all thing usuc related

For USC claiming to have the "#1 Business School in the nation" (spoiler, its not. USC MBA ranked #71, Clemson MBA ranked #53 by USA Today), the Coots sure do make a lot of boneheaded business decisions.

The store would have done much better, better even than Walmart if only Walmart wasn't in such a weak conference.
