How many total 5 Stars have we ever signed? Don't know how

long the "star" system has been around, on our own board, only goes back to 2012. By that accounting, we have only had 3 in previous history, Mac Alexander, Mitch Hyatt, and Big Dexter Lawrence. This year, so far, already have two more (!) in TL and XT. As Coach Scott says, It's a great day to be a Tiger!
(I realize the "stars" aren't the end all and be all, but, they are rated that high for a reason!)

That was just in 2011. If you mean 5 stars total, I have no idea but it's a lot.

Based on Rivals alone since 2002 we have had 19, with the first ones in 2006.
First was in 2006 with Spiller and Sapp, Bowers in 2008, Anthony, Steward, Watkins, and Bellamy in 2011, Watson in 2014, Wilkins, McCloud, Cain in 2015, Lawrence, Lamar, Smith in 2016, Terrell, Higgins, Johnson in 2017, and Lawrence, Thomas in 2018 with the potential for more.
In the last 4 classes we have signed 11 so far.
That being said, prior to 2002 we obviously had more 5 stars here at Clemson, but I don't have rankings from those years to look through. Another one that comes to mind would be Roscoe Crosby, although it didn't work out for him with sports.

there were probably more before Roscoe, and certainly many more before they started handing out stars. It's interesting to note that, of this list, which goes back almost two decades, roughly half of them are currently on the roster.
