How many players do we have drafted next year
May 1, 2018, 9:33 AM

A. Bryant C. Ferrel C. Wilkins D. Lawrence M. Hyatt T. Mullen (if he decides to leave) T. Thompson K. Bryant H. Renfrow D. Overton (I think he stays tho) C. Powell (Think he stays) T. Muse (Think he stays) K. Joseph M. Fields K'Von Wallace
Maybe? Yeargin Huggins
There's a lot more junior/seniors that could be drafted if they have a break out season. Maybe 1 of our TE's?

I get scared looking at that list

I realize we have a lot of greatness and talent on our roster, many of whom are underclassmen and will be here a while longer, but I get a little nauseous looking at that list. It will have to be the most talented group of athletes to ever leave Clemson at one time - maybe to leave any college anywhere at one time.

2 things would have to happen

for KB to be drafted. He would need a breakout year and we would have to win the Natty. Both could happen, but prolly won't. I just don't see a Pro career for KB......wish so much he would have changed positions, but to late now.

If LJ can be drafted in the first round, there is probably a spot for KB somewhere in 7 rounds

Lamar Jackson's last 2 years: 2016: 3,543 yards passing w/ 30 TD's plus 1,571 yards rushing w/ 21 TD's (13 games). Heisman winner
2017: 3,660 yards passing w/ 27 TD's and 1,601 yards rushing w/ 18 TD's (13 games). Heisman finalist
Kelly Bryant's BEST and only year starting: 2017: 2,802 yards passing w/ 13 TD's and 665 yards rushing w/ 11 TD's.

yeah, they are no where in the same league...Jackson did all that with not even HALF the talent Kelly Bryant had around him...and 1 less game. You are kidding yourself if you think they are anything close.

KB has a better shot at getting drafted than 4 or 5 the OP

has on that list. It may or may not be with QB in mind. Many of those will be more of FA signees. Some orange colored glasses being passed around.
I would say Huggins has a really good shot though.

It may not be too late for KB. There is a chance that he follows the path Braxton Miller took. I believe he still has a redshirt year available.

Trying to take off the orange glasses as I’ve sworn over the last few years a few more guys would have been drafted and werent.
Locks: Wilkins, Bryant, Big Dex, Cle, Hyatt, Mullen (if he comes out)
Likely: Renfrow, Fields, Huggins, Joseph
Toss Up: Yeargin (based on injury), KB (as an athlete a la Braxton Miller), Wallace (very versatile for a late rounder), Thompson (WRU brand will help), maybe another breakout WR but unlikely

I'd honestly pit Renfrow in that toss up column....all in all, if you are looking at reality, his height alone is going to be a big issue in how teams view him for drafting. He's pretty much very similar to Adam Humphries (but a bit better in terms of their college stats), which didn't go in the draft and had to get an NFL contract through free agency. He'll likely be the same only being 5'11 like Humphries.

AH is a better athlete/better measurables and bigger

HR is more like Tyler Grisham but maybe a smarter player with better routes/hands. He should be good enough to make a team but not sure he gets drafted based on how they look at the measurables. A lot of that height/weight stuff isn't about whether they think you are big enough to play the game but if your body can actually hold up through a season of pro football-- it's a different animal in terms of the guys you're facing and the length of season.

Unless KB has a breakout year, I don't see him getting drafted, at least not as a QB. HIs talents don't translate well to the NFL. IF Hunter gets drafted, and that's a big if as much as I HATE it, he'll be later rounds. I don't think most teams would take a chance on him, which is a shame because he definitely deserves it.
