How many kids that could have played for John Wooden would

Apr 9, 2017, 9:41 PM

have if they knew at the time how special he was? It seems that greatness is not truly appreciated until it is too late to appreciate it. Those guys that got to be taught the game of basketball and the game of life by him are truly blessed. Sure there are the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Walton's that saw his greatness in real life, but think about the guys that said no to Coach Wooden and went elsewhere and learned years later how much richer his life could have been if he had taken the opportunity to be led into manhood by a legend like Wooden.

Well, I believe that Dabo is our generations Wooden. Guys like Gary last year and maybe Zamir if he decides he wants to go to UGA will be the ones that reflect after their playing days about what could have been. Kind of like Dabo said that the Heisman missed out on Deshaun, I do not care what the players recruiting ranking is, Dabo will not miss out on anyone, they will miss out on him.

Just my thoughts as I am reading these recruiting stories. Anyone that has the chance to play for Dabo, better jump at that chance. They will be the better man for it.
