I would guess Charlotte would have been 100% full.

impress for the Heisman. The 2nd consecutive ACC title-20+ years since that has happened, 12-1, AND a playoff berth on the line.
If you are a Clemson fan then find a way to make down for Saturday's action!
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone notice that the top corner of the South Stands Upper Deck (TDB) at DV Saturday had a lot of empty seats? Guessing maybe 500 or so, at least...

Thats part of the student section and they pack in the lower deck rather that sit up there. You'll notice the the student section is extremely dense.
The tickets are sold and the owners are present just not in the seats.

I'll be surprised if there are 55,000 in attendance.

Clemson generally travels well but with a potential playoff and NC game, it's possible some Tigers will hold off.
Clemson vs VT in Charlotte would have been a capacity crowd without question.

that we travel well and have a decent alumni/fan base in Florida. I don't know enough about VT to say how well they'll turn out. They've travelled well to games here before, but I also remember the VT-BC ACC championship games in Fla that were poorly attended. Charlotte would've been much better for both teams, but it is what it is. Also think some Clemson fans may choose to save money for the playoff game(s), so might cut back some of our fans traveling from out of state. Still should be a solid contingent of Clemson fans.

I find it interesting that the ACC moved the game to exert financial damage to NC, however - given that the game is now hosting the 2 of the programs in the conference that would have traveled and backed their team to CLT will not show as strong.
At the end of the day, the move by the ACC does nothing but hurt the conferences image in the eyes of outside viewers by showing a less than packed house on Saturday night.
For a conference that is still trying to show its strength on the football against the SEC and B1G the move to FLA was a mistake.

But not able to make the trek to Orlando. I'm sure there are others similar to me. I hope we have a good showing, but the geniuses at ACC head quarters screwed up a chance to showcase a sold out stadium for a second year. It was a great atmosphere there last year and was looking forward to going back to Charlotte. Thanks, Swofford.
