He consistently calls strikes 6” wide on right hand hitters. Hard to swing at a ball that far outside.

As long as he is consistent both ways the batters have to adjust.

I realize that, but the strike zone is over the plate. If the ump can’t see that, put another one in his place.

to the plate and then get eaten up by the inside pitch?

When the strike zone for a right hand batter is extended to the inside chalk line of the left hand batters batting box, it's not that easy to adjust as a hitter and make solid contact.
