OSU has a lot going for it. It may not be what WE would want, but some kids like bigger cities, and as bigger cities go Columbus is nice. Been there many times. Offers EVERY major, puts players in the pro ranks. Don't be blinded by orange colored glasses.

This kid has been leaning tOSU for a month. Daggone shame we no longer have a coach that values Virginia kids in recruiting. One of the better recruiting areas on the east coast down in Tidewater, and VT used to own it. Now we don't even get invited to most of the parties.
And I just scanned Eleven Warriors. They need to change their colors to green (envy). Those guys are dying over there knowing the ACC/SEC/B12 are fixing to play football while thy watch.

Not true, we have been recruiting the RVA and NoVa/DC area well. Those are actually the better "hotbeds" of Va football. Typically the 5A and 6A champs are from RVA and north. Loudoun, Fairfax, Henrico, Chesterfield, Dinwidde etc... Don't get me wrong, great talent comes from the 757... and VT was able to break into the 757 but had more trouble recruiting from the 804, (northern) 540, or 703. I remember when one of my locals (Oxendine) picked Tech and a few folks thought that was an odd choice. Tech had a decent year in '93 but it had been a while since Tech had a season with more than 6 wins. In fact, just the year before, the 6th year coach (Beamer) posted only two wins - and most folks didn't think he could pull off a Dooley. He was one of the NFL talents that Beamer was able to get that lead to the rise in the mid 90s.
Normally those kid go to the Ped-States etc or more nawthen schools. Sometimes going south as well.
