Really hope that this happens so the chances of Watson going somewhere else improve. Going to the Browns could be a major setback in his career with little protection or guidance from a veteran. I believe Spiller going to Buffalo and the terrible weather had a lot to do with his injury prone career.

Every few seasons, some team trades for a patriot backup QB

Every other draft it seems the Patriots take a QB in one of the middle rounds of the draft, and then they sit and watch behind Tom Brady for a couple of seasons, getting some mop up time every now and again.

Then some team decides that the back up must be the second coming of Tom Brady, and trades for them.

Ryan Mallett, Matt Cassel, and now Jimmy Garoppolo. The first too were terrible, I guess we will find out soon about Jimmy.

Coming soon, in 2019, Team X is interested in trading for Patriots back up QB Jacoby Brissett
