Well, as George "Dubya" Bush, would say, I have a "Nukulur"

May 4, 2022, 12:43 PM

treadmill stress test set up for next Monday. Hopefully it shows some fixable reason for why I have started having these "dizzy" attacks lately. I WANT them to find something, because keeping on like this if they tell me everything is fine would be VERY frustrating.

I am of the "FIND the problem, then FIX the problem" School of Thought. Let's hope BOTH those things happen.

I'm not a doctor but I slept behind a Holiday Inn Express last night and the problem is the crystals in your inner ear. Wife has been dealing with it for several years. No cure but they have head movement exercises that help greatly.

There is an amazing treatment for crystals (rocks in your head) called the Eppley maneuver that really works. Your condition could also be a reaction to meds that you take. Let us know how you progress.good luck.

Please follow up after the test, if it's not too personal; will be praying for you

I always found it odd that both Jimmy Carter and dubya mispronounced nuclear this way - especially given that Carter actually served on a nuclear sub and was involved heavily in the program ! weird.. anyway - good luck w the procedure !

Best of luck to you on your procedure. I hope they can figure out what's causing your problem.

And, I drink decaf tea, "sweetened" with Splenda.

I could drink more water, but I have not cut down on what I always consumed, yet this deal is a sudden change.

Splenda makes some people dizzy. Are you having a lot of it?***

Have been for a LONG time. Ever since the bypass in 2015.

This dizzy crap is a new deal, starting over that last couple of weeks. And, it DOESN'T happen EVERY time I stand for awhile, only some of the time.

That is why I opted for the "walking" treadmill stress test, instead of the stationary one where you don't walk and they get your heart rate up with medicines. I want to give it every chance to happen during the test.

Did they rule out low blood pressure? Had problems with getting woozie when I stood up. Dr checked and mine was low. Took me off BP med and it went away. Put me back on but lowered from 20mg to 5.

Good luck with the tests and don't study too hard. May it be a simple fix.

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I always did VERY well on those tests you didn't study for,

May 4, 2022, 5:54 PM

like the SAT, or ACT, etc. It was those pesky ones that you DID need to study for, instead of shooting hoops or going to the Student Union bowling alley, or downtown to the Red Carpet Lounge, that gave me the isshews.
