ATT CUSTOMER SERVICE STORY!

I got Uverse set up when the Landlord left, it was a horrible process that made me hate ATT and things only got worse. I was supposed to get $150 in Visa reward cards but when the claim form came in, it was only $50. I called ATT thinking it would be a knock down drag out sort of deal. Nope, they just said okay, we'll send you a second card with $100.

We shall see in 3 weeks or so if this actually holds true.

I have one room that it keeps stopping working, but overall its been great.

So far, I haven't had any customer service issues.

and it was all online stuff, we were trying to avoid any down time. That failed miserably. One call and the guy couldn't find anything with my order number, yet I was still getting text and emails about that order a week later. The bill was funny, but after continued reading it seemed like it was accurate. I don't like their guide so far but setting up a favorites list has fixed that.

I really like that the second box can go anywhere that the wifi reaches.

And you battle with them for close to a year about the charges, even though you have proof you sent it back and they received it. Had I been set up with auto-pay, I would have never seen that money again. Then they continue to tack on absurd charges, whether it be $3 or $15. The final straw was the 4 months of varying bills, and then their claim that I signed a contract with them for another year just so they could charge a cancellation fee. I never signed any contract, they never could prove it, but eventually Charter just resolved it for me when I switched to them.

They did the same thing at my office, tried to charge like a $700 cancellation fee, and this was after we strategically waited until our contract was up.

Speed is also great for the first 6 months, then it starts slowing down considerably.

They offered me 3 months of free internet, and I still told them to die in a fire.

They'll try to tell you that oh, we just charge you for it until we receive the box, but it's bullshite. They're going to try to stick you with that cost.

They have so far done what they said they would as far as the box goes. I got the new box early in the day they said it would arrive and it worked.

I switched from DirecTV to Uverse because I got tired of DirecTV nickeling and diming me every time I added a TV or HD or whatever.

Uverse was new and offered one low price for all HD and DVR....AND all the DVRs were connected. Plus it saved money. No brainer, right? So I sign up for tv and innernets. They send me like $300 in visa cards to break the DirecTV contract. All is well.

About 18 months later, I need to add a land line. Call 'em up, no problem they say. We'll add it and your bill will go up like $7 per month. Agreed.

Billing got all jacked up, they charged me way too much. Got it fixed every time but cotdang man the hassle was pretty much not worth the money savings. But, principle is principle, all sorted out.

Then, at the 24 month mark....the bill went WAY up. Internet speeds went WAY down. Generally, the service now sux and costs too much. Tried killing off the land line and the bill doesn't change. Threatened to change to DirecTV and they're all like I CAN DO THAT FOR YOU WE MERGED WITH THEM SAME PRICE PAL.

After 4pm my internet is nearly useless.

I'm paying $190 for cable plus some premium channels, a land line I don't need, and innnernet that fugging sux.

I hate it and will change soon. I think.

times faster internet for $6 more a month, and they haven't tried to ##### me on my bill....yet.

No contract with them though, so no cancellation fee B.S. that YOU WILL encounter with AT&T when you go to change. I hope AT&T goes bankrupt and terrible things happen to their employees. And while that may sound harsh, there were probably some good people who worked for the Nazis too, but it is what it is when you are part of an organization like that.

had to tell them about it. What you describe is great service. I do not expect great service from any of these companies. Hell I didn't expect this to go as easily as it did...so far.

And, you will have to call them again. It's their MO...and the B-A-Sturds are starting to infect the DirecTV customer service with their notoriously bad service experience.

ATT makes boo-koo bucks on the people who are not willing to put forth the effort to conquer their Customer Service hurdles.

I fired ATT and I was glad to be rid of them. Imagine my chagrin when I heard they bought my satellite provider, DirecTV!
