As of yesterday, and with a few weeks to go, Coach DS said multiple guys have earned playing time.
I don’t care how you slice it, that ain’t good for KB. He’s the returning starter, fourth year in the program, 12-2 ACC Champion...and yet as well as he is practicing he will split time? He doesn’t have the position of lock?
If my boss heaped praise on me for my efforts but also decided to cut my “playing time”, the praise would be super hollow. If I’m doing so well and I’m “light years ahead” of last year, then why do I have to give up in game snaps?
The answer to this the same answer as to why Isreal Tucker, Zerrick Cooper, and Hunter Johnson all left: Trevor Lawrence is that good.
I credit Dabo for being loyal and actually giving a #### about his players mental/emotional well being. But we know how this is gonna go.

the QB1 role ahead of Kb on the depth chart... all I see from Dabo is a loyalty to everyone associated with the program to keep winning, even if that means keeping a 5-star behind a player that has earned the right to be ahead of the 5 -star on the depth chart...
Ferrel and Austin Bryant were not 5-star recruits, but they remain ahead of Xavier Thomas and KJ Henry on the depth chart because they've earned the right to be ahead of them. Dexter Lawrence did not start ahead of Carlos Watkins or Christian Wilkins because Watkins and Wilkins had earned their spot ahead of Big Dex
Shaq Smith was a 5-star recruit but still has not cracked the starting rotation in 3 years, barely cracking the 2-deep, and consistently plays behind the Davis twins who have earned their spot ahead of Shaq Smith...
We need to stop with the Dabo conspiracy because all he has done is win at an elite level... is he above reproach? #ell no, but he has earned the right to lead the program with out all the message board drama...

Me Thinks that the ‘between the lines’ means we are going to throw out a couple, maybe three diffetent guys out at QB with fresh receivers, tight ends , backs and O linemen throughout a game and unleash a tempo on teams that will have defenses begging for mercy by the 4th quarter just like Bama was in Natty Win. This team practices as a team knowing everyone needs to contribute so I am not sure having interchageable QB’s will be a detriment as it is with most teams. Notice how they have pointed out ‘lack of penalties’. Dabo has an offensive and defensive ‘machine’ in his hands and his coordinators will pull a lot of different levers this season. Folks this is going to be a blast to witness. BTW. Watch Saban evolve his offense this year out of necessity because he knows what awaits down the road.
