good and will be a star, but very poor decision to throw that interception in the end zone. He should have seen the safety. He and KB are both really talented, but we likely see what the coaches must be seeing in practice. HJ just needs more college level experience...the kind of experience which KB already has.
My biggest problem with KB right now is that I keep wanting to compare him to DW, and thats just not fair to him. They're similar, but he is a different QB with a different skill set. Unbelievably, if he can get his consistency with the deep ball dialed in, he just may surpass DW in his Clemson career! Lord willin', thats what happens!
Great win last night, Tigers! Now let's take it to Miami and choke them out with that big, fat, cheesy, gold turnover chain of theirs!

Receiver was wide open. Put way too much air on that throw that allowed the safety to track it down. Should have been a TD with a normal pass trajectory.

Right. He floated the ball because he didn't see the safety.

Poor read which prevented what should have been a TD.
A rookie mistake.

Same pass in High School would be a TD. That is the difference just need some experience.

should be the starter nonsense, ok. HJ is very good...but he isn't at KB's level right now.
Honestly, am really tired of all the disrespect being thrown at KB on here! He's not DW at the moment...but he is showing the potential that he may just turn out to be better then him as he continues growing as a QB! Let's see how it all plays out.
But just stop with the HJ should be the starter bull shiite! Right now it is very accurate for HJ to be a solid #2 QB.

To clarify, you won't hear any of that nonsense from me.

Go back and look at my posts. I have vigorously defended KB and the coaches' decision to start him. I think I understand the reasons, and I agree with them. If you thought I was making another "HJ should be the starter!" post, you badly misunderstood. I have even consistently supported the coaches decision to have ZC ahead of HJ. That's not what I was getting at at all.
To be clear, I think KB should be the starter, and have all along. I think he's been under appreciated and has done a great job. KB IS and WILL BE and SHOULD BE our starter barring injury for the rest of the season.

then I would say his interception was a least smart play. It was a 4th down throw, into the end zone. Had it been an incomplete pass the "dirtpeckers" would have gotten the ball back on downs past the 20 yard line.

You just showed why you shouldn't be commenting on QB play.
The receiver was open
HJ put way to much air under the ball.
HJ was also playing with second string OL
He should have thrown that ball better.
I also think he missed a wide open crossing route against Citadel when he chose to throw to Number 5 which resulted in a great one handed catch and TD. The correct throw should have been the open crossing route.
IMO, he has a much better hand off and play action. He just needs more practice. HJ is a better QB.

His problem is reading the option wrong three out of four times. Watch the film. I love the kid but he's not our starter.

Hunter Johnson was never going to be the starter. However, you put him with the ones, and he would have similar if not better numbers than KB. You can't judge him on ONE pass. It will be YUGE battle for QB in the spring. Will be there to watch it. For those of you continuing to critique KB's play, I would think 11-1 should probably quiet you down, going on the road to beat 4 ranked teams, and leads the team going into the ACC Championship game. Join the crowd and stop thinking you actually know anything about football.

What about KB 3 out of 4 times running into traffic and getting tackled for a one yard gain. If he would have chosen the other way he would have gotten a 8 yard gain or more. He does that a lot.

but fails to pull the trigger on. Also think he bails on the pocket too early and goes into run mode. If he would stay with the receivers longer he could have some big gains. He did a great job of that on the short TD to Renfrow.
