Haven't even finished morning coffee and Carson is already +3. Just put yourself in position to have a chance tomorrow. He can ill afford to miss another cut. Winning early spring gave him a wonderful chance to get his card. Would hate to see him slip below 25.

Good luck to all our Linksters. I'm looking for the link to follow Grewal in England this weekend but haven't found it yet. Will post if I can.

The only Ladies European Tour event . . .

Jun 23, 2022, 10:38 AM

I saw for this week was the Czech Open . . . I didn’t see any Tigers in the Field, so I didn’t include it.

Here’s the Field Link just in case I missed one of ours:

So far today . . .

Jun 23, 2022, 12:46 PM

As the second sessions are just beginning . . .

@ the Travelers, Lucas is done for the day . . . after sitting @ -3 after 13 Holes he bogied #14 and doubled #18 after hitting tge fairway, 135 yards out, with his tee shot!!! Lucas ended today at even par.

On the KF Tour @ the Live and Work event in Maine, Carson and Sam are finished . . . Shooting +1 and -1 respectively . . . Currently they are T-61st and 20th Places . . . but those will change as the afternoon wears on

On the Tour Canada event in Saskatchewan, Bryson Nimmer is @ even par through his first 6 Holes

Have a GREAT Thursday Er’body . . . and finish strong Tigers!!!

Jun 23, 2022, 3:07 PM

This is all Clemson golf related. Kat Schuster was tied day 1 (Tuesday) for the lead with a 67... Go Kat!!! She struggled yesterday a bit but still ended in 3rd place with an even par. 2 leaders at -2 going into today's final round.

She won the long drive contest with a 261 bomb. Sadly we'll have to wait to see how she finishes as there are no live links that I can find.

British Am

Jun 23, 2022, 3:52 PM

What I was looking for was the link to the British. Ladies Am. I found it. Our Savannah Grewal was playing in it. She made the stroke cut finishing 15th. That put her in the 16 matches held today. Sadly she was defeated by the Aussie (who just won quarters). Defeated 2 & 1. ??

Good news is she finishes in top 32. Not bad for a world wide event. Too bad we don't, as a university do real well at posting such events until after the fact... For example pancake and Melena playing in Texas Open. A very few of us would follow. I guess that's why. Oh well, congrats to Savannah.

Hopefully Kat can win the southeast AM. Our women's team could be good this year.

Thanks C-gal . . . Excited about our Womens Golf Team!!!

Jun 23, 2022, 4:04 PM

We, as a University, do a poor job of covering our Linksters . . . especially our Ladies!!! “After the fact” is better than not at all, but we seldom even get that. Yes, it is a small market . . . Yet this small insignificant thread has had 1500+ views . . . wonder how many more would get interested if covered adequately?!!!

Nice interview with our Tiger @ ~ the 3:30 mark:
https://youtu.be/kRIr7j8yTbY

Off my soapbox . . .

Congrats now to Bryson Nimmer up in Saskatchewan for closing strong after almost throwing away all opportunities . . . His closing 9 Holes are attached . . . He is currently T-49 after being well over tomorrow’s potential Cut with 3 Holes to play!

All of a sudden, they have Bryson at T10 with a first round score of -3. Hopefully, that is correct. However, if it is, what in the world was going on with his scorecard earlier in the day?

Messed up. Hopefully the new one is correct. T4 @ -4 thru 15... What? Said suspended but now that's gone. Glad Skeeta56 snapshot the thing.

Hopefully is correct now !!!! Awesome.

Something is awry . . . terribly

Jun 23, 2022, 4:53 PM

His card shows Bryson starting on the Back Nine . . . denoted by the yellow circle highlighting the asterisk which signifies Back Nine Starts . . . yet the card they are NOW scoring has him closing on the Back . . .

I indeed have the “confused”.

And now just a few minutes later this is what is showing . . . Which do we believe?!!!!!!!

I'm guessing he is done for the day and the scorer's table has the confused. I think it is probably best for us to wait a couple of hours until they have sorted out whatever issues they have going on. Hopefully, later tonight, we have the real score.

Boy, was I late to the party... I skipped right over your post above.. Now 6 hours old. Oh well, wasted a lot of search but was following the others.

I had cashed it in on Bryson !!!!! Wow. Shocked and surprised. Fingers crossed that Doc can at minimum par in. After what our buddy Lucas did. Doc was at -3 too.

Lucas - smh. How good would he be if he was Crenshaw with the flat stick. Starring at a 10 ft birdie and turn it into a bogey. I mean, that's common for me, lol.

Sam won't be in too bad of shape. Kuddos for surviving 2 dbs.

Carson - work to do but not as far back as I once thought.

Purposely not mention our final one today. Druids and all. Thanks for the wonderful information.

Let’s put a bow on Thursday . . .

Jun 23, 2022, 9:15 PM

All Tigers have work to do . . . Hopefully, we can trust the scorings posted above!

Went in total meltdown mode when I saw Jacobs snowman. He's struggling with his driver.

Yep. Thursday's flushed. Let's go guys. Priority, make cut.

Re: Thursday is HERE!!!

Darn, not only did doc NOT birdie the easiest hole, he bogeyed it. Probably going to knock him from the cut with only one hole left.

??

His second shot on Hole #15 . . .

Jun 24, 2022, 1:56 PM

will keep him from playing this weekend!!!

Yes, it’s the #3 Handicap Hole . . . but it’s a 271 yard, drivable Par 4 . . .

Here was his yardages:
Shot 5 in the hole
Shot 4 putt 15 ft 0 in., 2 ft 0 in. to hole
Shot 3 44 ft 2 in. to green, 12 ft 9 in. to hole
Shot 2 5 ft 0 in. to right fairway, 50 ft 9 in. to hole
Shot 1 266 yds to right fairway, 51 ft 7 in. to hole

How do you hit the second shot 5 feet?

It couldn’t have been a scooped flop shot attemp as it was in the cut fairway. The only thing I can picture is an elevated green with a strong front and his chip or bump didn’t clear the peak and it rolled back. Either is a boneheaded mistake after sitting within 55’ of the cup after your drive.

I’m still shaking my head . . . we’ve all done it I know . . . but I don’t do it for a living . . . just

https://tenor.com/view/chien-perplexe-dog-disappointed-stupide-gif-25739401

On a happier note . . . Looks like Jacob has a chance to make the Cut after shooting -3 today, putting his total @ -1 for the Tournament . . . He currently is T-49th Place (moved up 47 Places on the Leaderboard). . . the current Cut Line is Even Par
