Baylor absolutely. Ole Miss, depends. At full strength on defense I like our chances and their defense couldn't stop a pop Warner team. But Corral can ball and they WOULD get some points, question is if we could keep up. It would definitely be an interesting contrast in styles and one I would have loved to have seen.

The Baylor defense would have shut our one dimensional offense down. Their offense would have had tough sledding against us. That would've been a 14-10 kind of game. Ole miss we could've scored on so we would have a shot.

We couldn't score on anyone. We averaged 20 points a game including SC State and UCONN. What makes you think we could have score on them?

It would be a mismatch. As you said, they have gotten much better and we are about the same as when we started the year. Imho

Georgia hasn't gotten much better as the season went on. They were remarkably consistent throughout the year. They scored 56,40, and 62 in their next 3 games. Their easy SEC schedule wasn't much of a challenge for them until bama. They'd shut down Clemson's offense again but we'd hold them pretty to a pretty low score again.

You must have lost your memory over the New Year in regards to our offensive struggles. One dimensional doesn’t equal wins against top tier teams. Forget GA .. we didn’t win our side of the ACC, with a championship defense.

That Baylor defense is nasty. I don’t think we would cross the 50 with our offense this year. Baylor can stuff the run up the middle, get pressure on the QB, and shut down the outside run game. Plus, they have good DB’s. Our defense would hold Baylors offense for a few, but after our offense is 3 and our multiple times, I think our defense would wear down. I’ll stick with Iowa State this year. Take what we got and improve next season.

Okay… that’s interesting but — did you watch the game in it’s entirety tonight? That defense is stout. It seems as if Dave Aranda prepares very well. There wouldn’t be that much preparing in order to shut down our one dimensional offense. I think Baylor’s offense is slightly better than ours **this year**. Plus, you can’t really go by what happened in the regular season. This was the sugar bowl, and God knows we don’t want to go back to that place.

Their defense stuffed Oklahoma State on two possessions at the goal line to win dramatically. Last night, they stuffed a high scoring SEC team. Impressive to me.

I have come to this conclusion. IF DJ does not throw a boneheaded pick six, many of our games against lesser or greater opponents would be the same.
All would be within 10 points in general, but this team could play with or down to any opponent due to the offenses inability to score allot of points.

For everyone lauding Baylor's defense, yeah, it was really good, but Iowa State put 29 in them In a two pt win. Remember Iowa State? last seen finding the end zone agaisnt us with like four minutes left in the game. They were good, not the 85 Bears.

The only teams we can beat this season are the ones where we run the ball every play and are still able to barely win 20-17 type games. We got lucky with our schedule in that we didnt play anyone the last few games that required us to be able to complete a pass more than five yards down field. Thinking we are suddenly a top 5-8 type team because we beat a few lousy teams down the stretch would be a mistake.
