Mac Lain puts team’s need ahead of his own

Eric Mac Lain loves to play tight end, but he saw the Tigers had a need at the tackle spot and volunteered his services. Full Story »

Can you say "Tackle eligible?"

Sep 26, 2012, 9:57 AM

Seems that might be a trick play for the future!

Shhhhhh! Don't tell anyone!

interesting about the extra jersey. someone posted the other day how the NCAA rule is such you cant wear a slip over jersey like guys used to do playing on the punt team.

Also it is a novel way to address our actual need for tackles we never seem to be able to recruit

Glad to say I have known him

And his Dad, Mom and brother for a number of years.

This is a quality young man from a quality family and we could stand to have a dozen Little E's on the team!

If he's Little E, his dad must not be a pilot. +1.***

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

Lol. Gaining 15 pounds in a week isn't a good thing.

Well, if that's the case......

Sep 26, 2012, 7:33 PM

Joe Gore must not be cuttin it at tackle, so move him him back to defense where we need help. We've been hearing how athletic he is, but can't get the mental part of offense down. Let him go chase the QB like he came here to do.

40 lbs of muscle in a year!? No way...

Sep 27, 2012, 2:04 AM

From all that I have read on the bodies physiology, it's only possible to put on a maximum of 1 - 2 pounds of lean muscle in a month. And that's if everything was done perfectly (proper amount of sleep, nutrition, and exercise). Arnold once said himself, if you put on 10 lbs. of lean muscle in a year, you're doing great. Perhaps he meant 40 lbs total including water, glycogen, fat etc.

I would like to know who this "expert" is and if he'll train me lol.
