Mike Pence in ‘24?

Seeing some clips of Pence on the Thursday night hearings made me realize that he hasn’t been talked about much as a possible presidential candidate. It turns out that he is considering a run.
This article lays out some potential roadblocks for him, including:
-The difficulty VPs have in running for president
-The fact that a majority of Republicans still believe that the 2020 election was stolen
-The thought that a candidate similar to Trump or endorsed by Trump will get the nomination

He won’t, but he’s a solid conservative that I would take in a heartbeat over any Democrat.

He is certainly within his rights to take credit for much of the good that happened under Trump. If he can persuade voters that he was the brains behind the operation, he will generate significant interest.
He can also certainly stand on being principled in terms of the constitution and respecting our laws. I’m not sure most of the Republicans care about that as much as they do re-electing Trump or someone very similar to him.
I think Pence seems too moderate for where many Republican voters are today, which is why I don’t think he is likely to win the nomination.
