Dabo Swinney has coached in 3 ACC championship games not just one (he's 2-1). At least he recognizes Clemson is one of the two best teams in college football.

The other thing people continue to get wrong is that Dabo was "struggling for years", total fabrication. He had one rocky season 2010 that is it. His first season we went to the acc title game and his interim season he finished strong. 2011 on was the start of the 10+ streak. Now were there concerns after 2010? Sure, but it was still one season. The season records are facts not up for debate. And note, 2010 we took national champ auburn to double ot at their place. I was there.

Saban might be a better coach than Dabo Swinney. Clearly, over the past 8 years, Saban has been superb. But Saban is old and experienced and he did not start out nearly as well as Dabo.
In his first 8 years, mostly at Michigan State and Toledo, Saban was 61-32 and he failed to win the Big 10 or the SEC, did not win a BCS bowl game, and never played for a national title. Saban did win 10 games once in his first 8 years
In Dabo's first 8 years, he's 75 and 26 and he's won two conference titles, a BCS bowl game, put together 5 ten win seasons and he will have played for 1 national title.
Dabo very clearly made a bigger impact as a young coach than St. Saban.
