boy darnold is unimpressive

And that wasn't exactly a world class defense, don't care what their stats say

Clearly the most overrated player in CFB

I didn't see the entire game. Pretty much saw the first half and saw the WSU DBs jump 3 or 4 of the USC WRs routes. Darnold was lucky to have only threw 1 int at that point. Had the DBs held onto the ball Darnold would have had thrown 3 or 4 ints in the first half alone.

WSU's DC was a DB coach for Mizzou before Leach gave him a call offering him the DC job. I can't recall Mizzou having any stud DBs. That DC is young, too. I'm not sure of his entire coaching career. Seems like Leach found a diamond in the rough. Hats of to both of them.

Funny how these taking heads have been saying ignore Arnold's 7 (before tonight) ints.
They are nothing to be concerned about but put Watson on blast for throwing ints last year. A lot of Watson's pucks were not his fault. Darnold's are his fault.

Exactly, a few of DW4's ints were off receivers hands!!!

I was asleep for the game last night but I've seen Darnold play some outstsnding

games. I don't know why so many have to tear down other non-Clemson players all the time.

Baker Mayfield is really good. Sam Darnold is really good. Saquan Barkley is one of the best RBs I've seen in the last 10-15 years. I have no problem making any of these statements. It's not like Clemson doesn't have really good players of their own.

This is why most of us don't care for Baker Mayfield...https://rubbingtherock.com/2016/05/26/oklahomas-baker-mayfield-wasnt-impressed-clemson/

I watched the game last night and have seen Darnold play in other games. Darnold is a baller and he will win more games than he loses. Something to consider about last night's game for USC - they were playing 3 backup offensive linemen (most of which were freshmen) due to injuries. The reason WSU's defense looked lights out was because those backup OL from USC were getting hammered. Darnold spent most of the night running for his life because the defenders where in his grill the second the ball was snapped. Most QB's would not do so well with 3 second string OL getting beat on just about every play...

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the Southern Cal Trojans and was glad to see them lose but make no mistake - that Darnold kid can play. Is Darnold Heisman worthy? Not this year as I think that Barkley guy from Penn State is going to literally run away with it.

I get the missing O-linemen impacted the outcome (score). However, that was not an issue on the throws he made, that I saw, in the first half, where he was fortunate to only have one pick. Those DBs made those plays and Darnold allowed them the opportunities.

He's certainly lost his confidence

or tweaked his mechanics or something that has effected him much more than backup linemen. Maybe the mental pressure is getting to him along with the defensive pressure. The biggest thing I saw last night was that he had happy feet in the pocket and was hearing ghost on some plays leaving the pocket when he didn't need to and the one thing he has never been great at is throwing on the move.

3 of 5 of his oline were out***
