Why can't Walt pronounce "OR-uh-guhn" correctly?

Several friends from southern california said it wrong too.

Google it, and you'll find that Oregonians pronounce the last syllable "guhn," not "gone." Plus, "gone" just sounds bad.

Well I will put an end to this real fast. I was born and raised in SC, but moved to Oregon for my wife. Lived there for 2.5 years, then brought her back to SC. She lived in Oregon until she was 25 and is a huge Oregon State fan and now a huge Clemson fan. Anyway, it is pronounced OR-EH-GUN. Trust me, they hate when it is pronounced any other way.

Agree with you 100%. My Dad was stationed there for 3 years. My sister was born there. The folks there get tired of people saying it wrong and will correct you.
