Total shock to me. Maybe injured? Don't know but she carried us last tourney. Don't want to speculate but sure hope she's not transferring. I think her good friend plays for another team. Wow. Good luck Tomanka.
I'm really hoping they did like the men do occasionally and had a tournament but if so, that should have been for Kats spot.

And what about Ivy Shepherd?

She would have been a senior but isn't on the roster.

Ivy is gone. She's in the portal. Kentucky, I'll have to look it up in archives. She left in December. But she did graduate.
We are missing pancake. We missed Ivy this spring too. Kat's being thrown in trial by fire. I'm afraid the two freshmen coming in will be too as we have no senior leadership next season. Look for pancake, Grewal and Melena to anchor our team. Melena, imo is going to be outstanding. We're just young and growing. We'll get a grad transfer too.

Ivy is still in Clemson and is taking a couple of classes per her father two weeks ago at ANWA.

My apologies, you're right, she hasn't played since the fall but she did have to finish classes this spring. I'm sorry, mixed on my dates. Hard to go off rote memory anymore.
Still nothing on pancake.

Tomanka off to a real rough start. We don't get coverage like we should. Someone should have asked Hester and reported it.

Yep, she and Schuster are struggling. Agree on the coverage, or lack thereof. Shame on you, clemsontigers.com.

whether you like to disagree that's your choice but as for myself they're still young ladies who are 18-21 years of age and I am sticking to that so there you have it

If it’s such an “egregious” use of the word . . .
Apr 14, 2022, 3:56 PM

then why are they called the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) and the LET (Ladies European Tour)?
He(?) has chosen his “Hill” . . . but I’m with you HORRY TIGER 2 . . . It is used, on my behalf, as a term of endearment.

You make a good point. The LPGA was founded in 1950. Before women were recognized as equal to men. You can certainly use whatever term you want but the term lady or ladies is considered demeaning as it is like having an asterisk beside their sport because of their gender.

You may be right, but my mother was a wonderful “lady” and didn’t take a back seat to anyone ……. male or female. She was raised in Thornwell Orphanage and quite frankly would think all of this is silly. I must say I never refer to forward tees as “ladies’” tees anymore, but not because it it demeaning. All golfers “should” play from the tees that they are capable of playing from regardless of age or gender.

Your mother was a wonderful lady no doubt. Being a lady due to her actions, choices, caring for others and living a high caliber life. Nothing to do with being female nor being an athlete busting their tail for respect. Not sure why the difference is so hard to see?

Per Wiki, it's a term of respect.

"The word lady is a term of respect for a girl or woman, the equivalent of lord. Once used to describe only women of a high social class or status, now it may refer to any adult woman."
Sorry you feel the way you do, but I was raised with this definition and will continue to use the term.

What other names were you raised with for people? If you are a certain age women and black people were not considered equal so some of the terms used in the 60s for example are not appropriate today. You stated lady was the equivalent of lord but have you ever heard anyone call our football or baseball players lords? The word lady is for the genteel socialite who is trained in the social graces, not someone who refuses to dust herself off after stealing second.
