Now please give your recommendations for restaurants in the following three food genres (Arlington/Dallas/Fort Worth areas):

1) BBQ
2) Tex Mex
3) Steak ??

Just drive in a two to three square mile radius, and you will find any of the above, and it will usually be really good Food. When I was 18 wheeling back in 70's early 80's, it was easy to find good Mex food, BBQ, and some awesome steak houses around Fort Worth and Dallas. If the food is good, around meal times, the parking lots will be packed. But when I'm somewhere that I don't know, rule of thumb is, judge the food before going in, by the amount of people using that restaurant!!!

No BBQ list is complete without Hutchins BBQ in McKinney - in fact it is at the top of my list.
