The absolute best part of yesterday's game, if you were there.

Praise to thee, who has made me cancer free !

That was awesome! Our preacher mentioned it in his sermon this morning. Everyone in the congregation clapped for that little girl!

The upset was great, but to stretch the broadcast and not

Oct 13, 2013, 1:51 PM

show a good, close (unfortunately) game instead. Who made that call at the network?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The game started on ESPN and then moved to ABC/ESPN2

Oct 13, 2013, 2:27 PM

You could have seen all of it.

i agree it was an awesome moment. I had not been in a real happy mood for most of the game but when I saw that, my first thought was "perspective". The game didn't seem to matter as much after that.

Her name is Emily...

Oct 13, 2013, 2:39 PM

I agree, a very touching moment...as much as my family loves Clemson and Clemson football, those things make you realize that it all really comes down to faith, family, friends and those you love...everything else is fairly irrelevant!

Her name is Emily, and she is the younger sister of our son's "girlfriend"...I put that in quotes, as our son is 14, and I hate to admit that he is growing up and even HAS a girlfriend. She and her family live in Powdersville.

She was diagnosed with a brain tumor around Christmas of 2012, and had surgery the day after Christmas...just yesterday, her family received the results of the most recent MRI that show her to be cancer free!!! Obviously, she and her family are strong in their faith, and it's been awesome to get to know them better over the past year through the friendship of our kids.

Continue to pray for Emily and her family...she is a tough cookie with a great attitude as you could tell on the big screen!

Don't forget medicine, doctors, and their amazing skills....

Oct 13, 2013, 3:57 PM

Not wanting to rain on the whole faith and God parade, but I always like to give a shout out to the actual humans that do the work in helping out people, especially children. Hope she has a healthy, long life!
