Help m out here, I thought we got rid of Bowden 6 years ago

Sep 8, 2014, 8:57 AM

But for the life of me I keep having these awful episodes where it feels like Tommy Bowden is coaching..

Loyalty, he's earned it, worked hard, waited his turn....

Are you kidding me? If you guys can't see how much better this offense flows and looks with DW at QB then I'm not sure you know a whole lot about the game of football. Nothing personal against Cole. Great kid, great for our University, but sometimes somebody is just better. And believe me, Watson is better.

Think about it like this. Mark Richt, Jimbo Fischer, SOS, Bobby Petrino, Nick Saban, Les Miles, heck, any coach you want to name that has a clue... If they had our two QB's, who do you think would be starting???

Unless this is all some kind of master plan to throw FSU off their game preparation wise, somebody needs to shake some sense into our head coach.

Flame away if you want, but if Watson doesn't play the majority of the snaps against FSU, we got no chance.

I think what most folks aren't taking into account is this whole college thing. These kids are students, not professional athletes. They aren't drawing a salary for playing (although I understand that might be changing). I don't think you earn a starting position in college football just because you're the best athlete. I think (IMO) there is probably a lot more to it. Unfortunately, from what I've been reading on Tnet, seems like the fans aren't interested in the rest of the story.

Just wondering what your qualifications are? Have you been a coach at the D1 level? Assistant coach? An AD at a major school?

I like both QB's but apparently the coaches are making the decision who see them everyday. You see them for a couple hours on gameday.

Apparently Watson sti doesn't have the full grasp of the offense as much as Cole does. If you think coaches are letting someone play because of loyalty then you are delusional. No coach is going to jeopardize his career because he "likes" a player.

There are plenty of kids that have waited their turn and are seniors but aren't playing.

So your post is nothing more than your "opinion."

I have seen plenty of beasts on practice fields to only be average during game time .

There is just a different energy when Watson is on the the field. And he throws a better ball. A much better ball.
