so what is everyone else hearing about feaster? (sig)

Jan 31, 2017, 11:15 AM

i was surprised and disappointed at feaster's low numbers this year..no intent to demean the young man, but i've heard some talk that the staff wont play him regularly because his blocking skills are a problem..anybody else?

hears he was a Freshman in a new system and behind several other great backs.

A national championship was on the line something you often don't reach down and expect a Freshman to take reins unless no alternative. Heard he will be a beast next year.

I'm not, as our offense pass protection by a back is critical to the QB's success. He was clearly to light and inexperienced to be trusted in passing situations. The other team knew this too and when he was in the game, we probably ran the ball 90% of the time. The lack of offensive options makes playing defense against us much easier.

Remember....

Gallman had the same issues early on as have a lot of other backs just getting into
the mix. Gallman go better and Feaster will as well. No worries .

Our number 1 objective this year was to keep DW healthy. With that in mind no freshman was going to come in and put up huge numbers simply because they need to learn the offense and blocking schemes. We saw flashes this season of what he could be, but he needs to develop both phically and mentally. I have full confidence we will see a huge step foward next season.

null

37 carries for 221 yards is ~ 6 yards a carry.

Not too shabby for a true frosh, and not sure why anyone would say they're "low numbers".

I'm predicting he will be an electric player here before it's said and done.

Fester is a lock for South Carolina.

He has some eligibility left !

played in a lot of close games this year and there was so much riding on every game. If we hadn't been in the midst of a national title run i think he would've gotten more reps.

and talent ahead of him. People just thought he was CJ Spiller. Watching his HS tape I never saw that. I saw a RB with the best hands receiving that I have ever seen. I just think he needed some work and we had the depth ahead of him to bring him along slowly. I bet he breaks out some this next season.
