I couldn't imagine what his family, friends, pledge brothers, etc. would have felt after hearing about his death. Sending my prayers to all of those who he impacted.

All indications are that somebody was there or knew what happened and rich daddies got involved to cover it up. The only ones impacted is the family that continues to search for the truth.

There ARE people who know what happened, and perhaps that caused it, but they've chosen to cover it up rather than come forward, take responsibility, and give this family some closure and peace about their son's death. Hopefully someone will man-up and do what needs to be done.

The Hipps family settled its lawsuits against Clemson University, Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and several members of the fraternity a few years ago (2017 I believe).
I actually knew one of the members of the fraternity who was named in the suit. The young man and his family lived across the street from my family for years.

My pledge brothers are still my best friends today and we met in the Spring of '81. This is on his pledge brothers. There is no way in #### they should have gone one step further w/o him. If they truly do not know what happened to him, that's on them.
Regardless, his parents deserve the truth.
