Hear me now; believe me later.

Clemson is going to be a dangerous team in the championship phase of the season. That isn't even a knock on the current state of the team; heck, the tigers just won a top 10 match-up. However, the ceiling for this team is incredibly high and they are showing the right trajectory to pull it all together.

Elephant in the room - getting healthy and being available!
- Mukuba
- Mickens
- Jones

- Bresee
- Greene
and that is just on defense. On offense, getting Trotter back and having Randall healthy will be a shot in the arm down the road. If the team can avoid further setbacks and can start to get some of these fellas back... watch out! Not only will it be a boost to get those folks back, it's also a win that the young dudes have got valuable experience. It is painful now but a double-edged sword that will be sharp late in the season. A lot of talent and a lot of depth.

Offense is finding confidence and playmakers.

Guys are starting to make plays and gain confidence - the trajectory is in the right direction. As for the players with asterisks, they've shown flashes either this season or previous years. As the season progresses, if the trend continues... that'll be a lot of weapons to stop.

Special teams has been solid and BT is money. BT can be a difference maker in these close games. If the punt game can continue to improve, this team will be solid in all phases of the game.

Coaching and culture - the assistants seem to be making strides and coming into their own as well. Wes in particular. Watching his interviews, he has been really awkward and not exactly confident. But that is changing, he is gaining more confidence on that stage and also seems to be getting in a groove on the field as a play caller. Similarly, Streeter is doing well and finding a way to get points. He probably had less question marks coming into the season as he has been involved with the offense in a critical way for years now. The culture seems as strong as ever and I think that will keep the team moving in the right direction.

Mea culpa - I had a post that was extremely tough on Kyle Richardson. I was wrong. That dude can coach and he clearly has won over his position group. That group is flourishing. Huge props to him and I'll take my serving of crow.

This team is going to be full steam ahead and something to deal with in the championship phase of the season. They will go toe-to-toe with anyone, and with some luck... could make another ACC and CFP run.

The OL will be deciding factor on our season

DJU is solid when given enough time. Will need OL to continue showing improvement throughout season.

OL depth also needs to develop. The starting 5 are really rounding into shape but there seems to be very limited depth.

bounty coming this season. Nothing pleases me more than having Clemson show off and coming to TNet to proclaim I was wrong. Crow is delicious with Sweet Dabo's BBQ sauce on it.

Watching position groups, staff, individual players, etc grow and develop over the course of a season is awesome. It is maybe my favorite part of college football. Teams can really take form in a positive or negative way throughout the course of a season. It’s why culture is such a big deal.

Punt team needs the most work.

Maybe the offense can get good enough we don’t have to worry about it… *puts on orange tinted glasses*

Agree. Our punt game has been average at best the last 5-6 years. When is the last time we had a solid punter?

Agree with you on Coach Richardson DrOrange

Oct 2, 2022, 3:10 PM

Plenty of credit to go around, but Richardson replacing Coach TE as both TE coach and passing game coordinator is the biggest change to 2022 Offense coaching staff. Richardson has been a factor IMHO.

It definitely feels more creative and less predictable. Tight Ends have really been effective too. Those dudes are bought in 100% and it shows.
