Are we going to have a couple of walkons start for us at wide receiver in our bowl game like last year?

Re: TNET: Clemson WR to have surgery, out for season

Thanks for being a jerk. You know that none of our walk-on receivers will be starting.

(If you claim to now know this, then you are profoundly stupid.)

Aside from the B.Collins situation, we have another injured WR for the year (Troy Stellato) and another one who portalled out (Dacari Collins).

We have others who are redshirted, and we don't want to burn an entire year of their eligibility to play in two games. Or at least our coaching staff has good enough human beings to embrace that philosophy.

Now go set yourself on fire.

And, telling someone to, basically, commit suicide is inexcusable!

You can play in 4 games without burning up your redshirt year

Remind me again who our starting wide receivers were in the Cheez it Bowl last year? Fairly certain that 1 shared the same last name as our head coach and another had the last name of Brown. While both of those kids busted their rumps and were technically on scholarship last year (I think), they were both originally walk ons. Did you, or did you not, see Drew Swinney run onto the field after EJ Williams dropped that pass in the 4th quarter Saturday? Between likely opt outs (because let's face it some of our receivers seemed to have opted out a while ago) and legit injuries, I could see a former walk on starting in the bowl game.

Not sure how asking that question, given last year's bowl game and our current injury to one of our top 2 receivers, is being a jerk. But I have definitely been called worse for less. So there's that.

:)

In the end, he (Swinney) was one of our most reliable receivers. At least he caught every pass that was thrown in a “catching zone”, with no drops.

And we still won. Now THAT'S coaching.***

You do know that they are allowed to play in 4 games now and still redshirt? So if a WR hasn't played because the coaches want to redshirt them then 2 games will not change that.

They can play 4 games. Who is redshirting anyway that is ready?

I guess because he re-injured his shoulder. Probably holding his wrist to stabilize the shoulder. Best wishes BC to a speedy, full recovery. As someone said, we will need you healthy for next year.

Imagine that. We listened to the idiot NBC announcers say that when the ND player just about ripped his arm out of his shoulder that it wasn't pass interference, that along with a few other that the Ref's didn't call.

What's the injury? Rotator cuff, labrum?

Nov 29, 2022, 3:29 PM

The recovery from rotator cuff surgery is brutally painful and long but can have excellent results long-term. (Unfortunately, I speak from personal experience.)
