Heading to North Dirty Myrtle tomorrow. Couple questions.

Staying at the ole family sea shack off of 21st Ave S.
1) Should we stop at Buc-ee's on the way through Floor-Rents, just for the hellofit? Kinda want to, but kinda don't give a shid.
2) Where to play golf, should I decide to take my son to play? Have been going to the beach there my whole life, and am a life long golfer, but have played just a little bit of golf at the beach. Not really why I go there. But if I do, what's a good place to play that won't break the bank?

1. Yes. I'd actually suggest vacationing there as opposed to continuing on to the coast. 2. Mt. Atlanticus. You should be embarrassed you had to ask. PLAY WHERE THE PROS PLAY.

If an old Asian woman who looks like she plays on that boat every night sits down next to you at the blackjack table, get up. She brings all the bad mojo to a hot streak.
If you get on the boat a little early to have drinks, you can reserve a spot at the craps table by placing your ID or players card there. The pit bosses will watch your spot for you.

You could stop just to say you stopped, but in the end it's a gas station.
2) At the beach. Hit some balls out into the ocean.

1. No. The place is still experiencing the new store atmosphere. ###*es to elbows with I-95 drivers. 2. Pine Lakes. Getting a tee time may be a challenge. But worth it.
And for all those folks who don’t like the Grand Strand you can always go up to Wilmington (now that’s a happening burg) or Charleston (where you can enjoy the traffic - especially through MtP). And please take the Ohioans with you.

This is actually on the short list of places I have wanted to play. I've played the Dunes Club, which was awesome, but have always wondered about Pink Lakes. A good friend of mine was a big wig at Burroughs and Chapin, so I could probably bulldog my way into a tee time if I asked.

Even Mt traffic ain't got crap on traffic on hwy 17 between Pawleys and Surfside.
It was the number 2 or 3 reason I sold out.

It's literally right up the street from our house. Never played it, probably should one day.
Think I've played Glen Dornoch. If it wasn't that one, it was one up that way. I remember it was pretty decent.

You can pretty much spend and get what you want, from Beachwood to Grand Dunes... Just check online.
Save $$$ anywhere by getting the afternoon tee time

course. Pine Hills, if there has been rain, is a mosh pit. Lousy drainage. Easy tract but impossible to leave it short and run it up to the green with soaked aprons.

worth the time and money when I only play once a year. I practiced ahead of our beach trip last year only to get rained out on the back 9. Didn't even get my money's worth and did not go back to cash in my rain check. Juice not worth the squeeze.
Anyhow, up where we stay it's Sea Trail, Oyster Bay, The Pearl, River's Edge.
My favorite was the Farmstead, which straddled the SC/NC border and ended with a par 6 18th hole, but it closed last year.
