My daughter is a freshman at UGA. Never been to a football game there and looking forward to it. Will be glad to get Georgia back on schedule...
(will be listening to the Clemson game on my head set, GO TIGERS).

I've heard its an awesome place to see a football game, atmosphere and tailgate much like Clemson but I dont know!! Thats from friends and family who, many years ago, went to see the CLASSIC matchups between Clemson and Georgia of the 80's.... Take some notes that our boys can study to prepare for the big games the next 2 years LOL

Nice stadium. Crappy fan base. Some real scumbags there.
I remember paying for parking at some church a few blocks away and them saying they were not going to block anyone. In fact being promised they wouldnt do that. People could leave when they wanted. Of course that turned out to be a lie

My wife is a Bulldog Fan, we split time between games in the

fall. We try to go to an equal # of Clemson and Georgia games per year, but we've gone to a lot more Clemson than UGA games.
The stadium atmosphere is great! They don't have the hill and grand entrance like we do, but their band is great and the fans are loud.
They don't use their PA system as much as we do, but they're using it more than they used to. I kind of like being able to listen to the bands and not pumped in music.
If you're in the lower deck, you can actually walk down to the circle outside the hedges - it's pretty cool.
Tailgaiting is similar to ours, but their parking is a lot more disjointed. The easiest thing to do is park at the intramural fields and ride a bus up to town. They run constantly, and there's a huge line of buses after the game. It does seem to be more of a LETS GET DRUNK kind of atmosphere than Clemson, but that may also be how things are laid out on Campus.
All in all, if you're cheering for the bulldogs, UGA is a fun place to be. Even when I've gone and wore my Clemson hat, fans have been respectful.
Watching the band lead the dawg walk to the stadium is pretty cool, too - although it can be crowded. Standing on the bridge behind the Sanford Stadium sign gives a nice vantage point to take in the crowd.
Any questions, let me know and I'll help as best I can.

Thanks, we've got a hotel in a good location (2 night minimum) and the lady who took my reservations said it's only about a 15 min walk to the stadium. There's a lot going on at my daughter's sorority house too.
Should be fun!
