Hopefully love for his alma mater and raise will get him. He is only making $1 mil and has a $1 mil buyout, so he is very attainable.
The best part is that he presses. We need to be running out there and be different from the other schools.

But just at VCU would be hard maybe. I first go after,these guys:
Marshall ( say what you want, but he is from here,and he'd listen. He also loses his three year key players. )
Miller (Dayton)
Mack (Xavier)
Cooley (Providence)
The current Butler Coach.

Another guy outside box to think about is Dino Gaudio. Got a bad deal at Wake, and he is a great recruiter. Similar to Gottfried at NC State and that turned into good hire. Really recruits well in the Atlanta and Charlotte area.

That is a good list. I'm not a fan of Gaudio, but all are upgrades over Brownell. I think we need to go high energy young guy. As well as someone who will have a 9+ man rotation so that we can press and run. We missed the boat on Michael White because of the dumb extension. Hopefully, any sort of new blood will reinvigorate us.

Did you see the game last night? It was at least half USC fans and it wasn't a sellout. Have you watched our other games? No one is there.
At VCU, basketball is king (it's like football here). They sell out their arena for every single game, including their exhibition game against California (PA).
Hate to admit it, but VCU is a better basketball job than Clemson. He won't leave there for this job.

Give me a break, VCU arena seats 7600. Yeah you read that right. It is in downtown Richmond, the capital of Virginia, with a population of 1,200,000 in the are and 31,000 students on campus. If they don't sell out every game they have BIG problems. Coaching in the ACC and an increase in pay would be a big draw. Just need DRad do give him the sales pitch.

We don't sellout because the product is bad and the team has quit 3 of the last 4 years. Did you see Littlejohn under Purnell? The fans show up. Will Wade was here during that time. Give the fans something to cheer for and they will be there.
