He wanted to strut around with the gun he begged his buddy to buy for him. He got his buddy to commit a felony buying the gun because 1) his dad has past alcohol/drug issues and probably isn't eligible, 2) his mom wouldn't buy it for him, and 3) his older sister also wouldn't buy it for him.

He’s under felony indictment by the state for providing a weapon to a minor resulting in death and testified against Kyle. The federal govt has not done anything yet, but they could both be prosecuted on a different felony for the gun purchase. All the moron had to do was convince his mother to buy it for him instead of Black. Note: you cannot buy a gun from an FFL for your underaged neighbor, regardless of how many dirty little favors he does for you.

He testified to try to get leniency. The state charge carries a max of 12 years and he’s expecting either a corrupt judge to let him off or the prosecutors to offer probation or a light sentence. The federal charges for the gun purchase, if filed, carry a max of 10 years. His lawyers know he and Rittenhouse are at risk but probably assume the government won’t pursue. Despite the ATF making such a big deal about these crimes, not many actually get prosecuted.

First crazy and Kyle had been yelling at each other

all night. One of the guys Kyle had threatened with his gun earlier (an assault, by the way) testified to that. This was basically a short kid who looked 12 strutting around with a military style gun- did everybody even think it was real?
Crazy guy throws an empty bag and starts to run toward Kyle. Four shots and dead. Kyle calls his buddy to tell him he killed someone, then the crowd realizes he killed someone and he takes off like a scared little girl. He eventually trips over his own feet. Second guy rushes up to try to kick him, Kyle shoots and misses. Third guy swings a skateboard but barely connects. Two shots and dead. Fourth guy runs up with his gun over his head, aims it at Kyle for an instant and then lowers it. One shot to the bicep.
The fourth guy, Gaige Grosskreitz or whatever, decided in the instant not to fire his weapon. If he had, he would now be the hero to right wing America instead of Kyle. The good guy with a gun who stopped an active shooter. Tucker would be spinning that narrative and you would all be deep in. Big difference, though: if Gaige had shot Kyle, there wouldn’t have been assault or murder charges to start with.

and the fact that half of all people are below average. Jury selection is biased to that lower half.
But there is no doubt that a good cop would have neutralized him during the chase after his first murder, or before he could commit the second. And you’d be praising the cop, Kyle would be just another mass shooter, and “self-defense” wouldn’t even come up.

When I say “little man,” it’s a polite way of saying “#######.” Sorry for the confusion. But yeah, you are delusional. Try googling “neutralize” and you will see many, many examples of police using that verb. It’s very, very standard in describing these situations.

“Liquidate” literally means to kill in the context. It translates the same from most European languages. Police use “neutralize” to describe a range: kill, disarm, render unconscious, and so on. Whatever removes the threat. It’s a good word.

I will first say, superb job dragging up an old and dead topic to keep the fires burning.
That being said, I won't put myself in a situation like Rittenhouse did. If someone is drawing a gun on me, when I drop them (and I #### well will), the self defense will be unquestionable because they've either tried to attack me at my home or while I'm in my vehicle.
